About Me

Amit Kumar is a Researcher with the Takshashila Institution’s Indo-Pacific Studies Programme. With a broader focus on China, he primarily studies issues at the intersection of economy, security and technology. He keenly tracks the geopolitical and geo-economic trends emerging from China. His writings encompass issues on India-China border relations, India-China trade and economic relations, and the Chinese economy and trade. 


Kumar's notable writings include China’s Two Front Conundrum: A Perspective on India-China Border Situation and De-risking India’s Trade with China: Identifying Strategic and Critical Vulnerabilities.
 

Kumar's commentaries have appeared in several national and international media platforms, including Foreign Policy, Nikkei Asia, ThinkChina, The Hindu, Indian Express, Hindustan Times, The Print, The Quint, and Deccan Herald, among others. 


Kumar has a masters in Diplomacy, Law & Business from the O.P. Jindal Global University. He is a graduate in Political Science from the University of Delhi.
